As many of you know, becoming more sustainable with my consumption habits is a new venture. Eating in a more sustainable way is a VERY new experience, but I am making the best out of a bad situation during COVID and trying to both eat healthier & eat more sustainably.
Want to learn how to make crispy delicious tofu?!
First you press your firm tofu and cut it into 1/2 inch squares. If you have never pressed tofu before here is a video.
Toss tofu squares in sesame oil until lightly covered and spread on a parchment paper covered baking sheet. Bake at 370 degrees. Bake for 20 min and then turn. Bake for another 15 minutes and they are ready to eat!

I choose to use my tofu in a rice bowl. I made a basic recipe for spicy mayo and paired it with some coleslaw that I whipped up by mixing together rice vinegar, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
I didn’t use a particular recipe for my coleslaw. I just mix in a lot of vinegar and keep adding a sugar (honey), a salt (soy sauce), and a fat (sesame oil) until I hit a flavor that I enjoy and is a little too intense to eat on its own. If you are looking for more an exact recipe use this.
